A Cloud FinOps Analyst (or FinOps Engineer, depending on focus) is responsible for monitoring and optimizing an organization’s cloud expenditures, and ensuring cost efficiency of cloud architectures. This role’s mission is to make cloud usage financially transparent and efficient. They often implement or utilize frameworks like Dapr (Distributed Application Runtime) to simplify microservice development, and might explore WebAssembly (WASM) for certain components (e.g. running safe, portable modules in a microservice).
